It was a great experience working in Mexico with Indira Santos and Area Comunicación Entreamigos to create a mural for the kids of the San Francisco, Nayarit primary school about butterflies of Nayarit.

Here, you'll find informative video previews from the full length documentary we're producing to bring more awareness to the rapid dwindling of butterfly populations and shed light on solutions to help reverse this alarming trend.


We recently visited students at Baxter Montessori school in Echo Park to help them plant their own butterfly garden and teach them how to care for it.

City of Butterflies strives to actively educate the public about the importance of native
host or food plants in urban areas through hands-on workshops, outreach events, and media production.
 The reintroduction of native plants in public and private gardens is crucial to the survival
of California's rapidly declining butterfly populations.
